One of the greatest technology advancement that made a huge impact in the field of crime investigation were the Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV). The camera would just be simply mounted at an establishment wherein it remains to be monitored 24 hours a day, and crime would be simply investigated just by looking at its video feeds.

1) Utilization of physical fingerprints have been considered useful in solving crimes.

Fingerprints:

  • No two individuals can have same fingerprints even no two fingers of the same person can have similar fingerprints.

Application of fingerprints:

  • This can help in establishing identity of criminal and also helps in solving crimes.

2) CCTV surveillance using camera is widely used for security and also useful in prevention and detection of crimes.

CCTV surveillance:

  • It is beneficial for keeping an eye on persons taking entry or exiting from a housing society, shop, or on traffic accidents.
  • This will help in reconstruction of incidences of crime that could have taken place, it will provide footage of the events that have occurred during commission of crime.
