In my opinion, I think geology provides the best evidence of the earth's age because we have physical evidence of the different layers of the rock formation. Sedimentary rock levels have shown that much of the earth was covered by water at one point, while there have also been rock formations higher than mountains at another point in earth's history. In relation to the branch of biology, evidence of fossils in rocks demonstrates life on earth in a past era.
