Its quite possible to have the same volume of two different sized boxes. I'll give an example below:
Box 1- 4 by 5 by 9 = 180 sq ft
Box 2- 9 by 5 by 4 = 180 sq ft
These two boxes look entirely different, but they still contain the same volume.
