1- August 7, 1998: Attacks on US embassies in North Africa

The terrorist attacks on the United States embassies in Africa took place on August 7, 1998 in Nairobi (Kenya), and in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania). These attacks, whose authors were linked to the terrorist group Al-Qaeda, led to Osama bin Laden, leader of the group, being included in the list of the ten most wanted FBI fugitives.

In the attack on the embassy in Nairobi, at least 213 people were killed, including 12 Americans, and between 4,000 and 5,500 people were injured.

2- September 11, 2001: September 11 attacks in New York City

The attacks of September 11, 2001 were a series of four suicide bombings in the United States by 19 members of al Qaeda, by hijacking commercial aircraft to be hit against various targets, causing the death of 3016 people (including the 19 terrorists and the 24 disappeared) and leaving more than 6000 injured, as well as the destruction in New York of the entire complex of World Trade Center buildings (including the Twin Towers) and serious damage to the Pentagon building (headquarters of the Department of Defense of the United States, in the state of Virginia).

3- November 13, 2015: ISIS mass shootings and bombings in Paris

The attacks in Paris in November 2015 were several terrorist attacks committed on the night of 13 November 2015 in the French capital and its suburb of Saint-Denis, mostly perpetrated by Islamist suicide bombers in which 137 people died and another 415 were injured. A shooting in Petit Cambodge restaurant, in the X District of Paris, resulted in at least four deaths. A second shooting took place at the Bataclan theater, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, with at least 100 hostages. In a brasserie near the Stade de France, an explosion left at least 10 people dead or wounded. The authorship of the attacks was claimed by the jihadist organization ISIS.
