Hey!

Product Property: Sometimes also referred to as the Zero Product Property, states that if AB=0 , than A=0 and/or B=0.

Example: If AB=0, than A=0 and/or B=0.

Quotient Property: Sometimes also referred to as the Quotient of Powers Property, states that when you have the same base, you subtract the exponents.

Example: (5^3)/(5^7) = 5^-4 OR 1/(5^4)

Negative Exponent: This simply means "How many times I you divide by that number?"

Example: 5^-3 = 5/5/5 = 0.2

Power of a Power Property: Sometimes also referred to as the Product of Powers Property, states that rather than adding the exponents of that base, you multiply them instead.  This is the way to find the single exponent of the base.

Example: 5^3^3 = 5^(3*3*3) = 5^27

Power of a Product Property: For this property, rather than multiplying the exponents of the same base, you add them instead.

Example: 5^3 * 5^15 = 25^18
