the rise in sea levels is one contributing factor. if all glaciers melted today the seas would rise about 230 feet. animals suck as polar bears and seals would become endangered, making some organisms that polar bears eat becoming out of control. Eventually, humans, some places like islands could become flooded due to rise in the water. 

Melting ice caps will throw the global environment out of balance. The ice caps are sparkling water, and once they melt they will desalinate the sea, or in undeniable English – make it less salty.

Melting glaciers add to growing sea levels, which in flip will increase coastal erosion and elevates storm surge as warming air and ocean temperatures create greater common and extreme coastal storms like hurricanes and typhoons.
