Answer:
Foreshadowing
Explanation:
Foreshadowing is among the most powerful writer tools. It is the use of information or story details to indicate or suggest future events, whether good or bad. It can be written in many forms and appears frequently in literature, cinema, theater and any form of narrative. Effective foreshadowing can be emotionally engaging as the audience feels the direction of the story without knowing where they are being taken, and may be intellectually interesting, giving just enough clues to suggest the answers without giving up on them.
Foreshadowing is also often necessary to prepare the reader for events that can be very sudden and unbelievable otherwise. There is virtually no limit to what a writer can use for foreshadowing, although there are general categories that represent the main ways in which the technique is used throughout narrative art.
