The manager should inform the desired action. This is very important because it will allow the group to concentrate and know the desires of the manager. Communicating the desired behavior would also encourage teamwork.
Managers can apply reinforcement theory to encourage the employees. Using this theory in dealing with employee improve the manager’s foresight to clearly understand the needs of the employees.
Reinforcement can be used to improve employee’s behavior. Managers can apply positive reinforcement when dealing with the workers either by giving them bonuses to achieve the purpose of a set goal or by increasing their wages to improves the values of an organization.
Positive reinforcement may be in the form of giving promotions, appraisals or assigning employees more challenging work towards meeting the desired goals of an organization.
The reinforcement theory has to do with changing a person’s behavior. The theory states that a person’s behavior can be changed by imposing a punishment or a reward.
A reward can be applied towards improving the kind of behavior you desired and punishment can as well be used to change undesired behavior.
