6.2c+9.8a=593.4, using a from above in this equation gives you:

6.2c+9.8(2c)=593.4  perform indicated multiplication on left side

6.2c+19.6c=593.4  combine like terms on left side

25.8c=593.4  divide both sides by 25.8

c=23

So 23 child tickers were sold that day.
