Mary is making pillows for her life skills class. she bought 2 1/2 yards of fabric. her total cost was 15 what was the cost per yard

Respuesta :

cost divided by length of fabric

convert to impropert fractions

2 and 1/2=2+1/2=4/2+1/2=5/2

cost/length=[tex]\frac{15}{\frac{5}{2}}[/tex]
times the whole thing by [tex]\frac{{2}{5}}{\frac{2}{5}}[/tex]
we get
[tex]\frac{\frac{30}{5}}{\frac{10}{10}}=[/tex]
[tex]\frac{6}{1}=6[/tex]

cost was $6 per yard
IT would be 6 because the guy above me explained it well.
