Peter is a 51-year-old construction worker. They have never exercised regularly due to the physical nature of their job and due to family commitments related to having two daughters (aged 19 and 14). Peter’s doctor recently suggested they start an exercise program due to the weight they have gained. Peter is not very excited about exercising but does realize a need to do this for long-term health. Peter has stated that their back bothers them occasionally but a doctor’s note has cleared them for an exercise program with no major limitations. Peter’s main goals are 25lbs of weight loss, to lose 3-4 pant sizes, improve energy to be able to do activities with kids and improved overall health. Peter has no major medical conditions and answered no to all of the questions on the PAR-Q . The results of Peter’s fitness assessment are below.
