In Candomble, orixas are spirits that reflect one of the manifestations in religion. Candomble is a mixture of Yoruba religion and Christianity. Most of its followers live in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, although this is a minority in each of these countries. There are a total of four hundred and one orixas and orixas orginate from the Atlantic slave trade and were brought from Africa into the Americas.
