The product of two consecutive integers is 2 more than twice their sum. Find the first integer.

Call the integers 'N' and N+1.. Their sum is 2N+1. Twice their sum is 4N+2. . . Two more than that is 4N+4 and the question says that their product is equal to that. . So write N (N+1) = 4N +4, and then solve that equation to find N. I can tell you right now, by looking at it, that N is 4. You should solve the equation.
