This would be an example of body dysmorphia. When Sylvia is perceiving issues with her appearance that are not actually there, and is trying to undertake measures to fix such non-existent problems, dysmorphia is at work. These self-perceived "problems" begin to affect daily living and cause hardship to her and those around her.
