Describe the role of producers in a food web. Are producers the basis of all food webs? Justify your answer.

Producers generate food for primary consumers. They are the basis of the food web because without them, there would be no food web.

Producers are plants, they really are the base of all food webs. This is because with out them everything would just fall apart. When you think of a food web you might think about Bunny>Snake>Hawk but the base of that food web is the plants that the Bunny eats. Without the plants everything else in the food web would starve.
