Brad wants to buy flowers for his friend with 45$. The daisies are 1$ each and the roses are 2$ each. He buys 3 more daisies than roses. How much did the roses cost?

I did the math, which wasn't too hard if you knew how to solve it.

There will be 14 roses, which is worth $28. 14($2)

And finally there will be 17 daisies, which is worth $17. 17($1)

$28+$17=$45
