The narrator of the story Black Beauty is the horse and main character, Black Beauty. While he does not portray much personality, his use of details in the story are very vivid and easily paint pictures in the minds of readers. He explains things how they are, not how they should be. Hardly ever does Black Beauty express his opinion, except for when he is describing one's character. Often times in the story we find Black Beauty lost in his own memories from when he was a foul, a trait that is rarely seen in a narrator. Black Beauty definitely has his own unique style when he takes the readers along for the ride of his story.
