Senators and Representatives work for their constituents.

Congress, the branch of our government in charge of the Legislative power, is divided into two groups: the Senate and The House of Representatives. Each state is represented in Congress by two Senators and, depending on the size of the state's population and the number of districts, a number of representatives. We can count 100 Senators and 435 Representatives.

They are all elected by the people back home, at their represented states. That is why those are the people they work for, their constituents. Their job is to ensure the concerns of their voters are fairly represented in Congress and are taken into account. The must be at all time aware of the necessities of their state's people and know their views on important issues.
