The factor that
united various groups of people in Byzantine Empire is the religion – Christianity.
Being the first Christian emperor after defeating other Emperors, Maxentius and
Licinius of the East, Constantine I implemented the conversion of the Byzantine
Empire to Christianity. Although this was not completely accomplished during
his reign, Christianity unquestionably happened to be the religion of majority.
Because of the common belief and religion of people, the Empire united in carrying
out common goals and rejoicing in each victory.
