Okay this should be simple...I remeber learning about this in class I just hope I did it right.

Add 27i to both sides

x * 3 - 27i + 27i = 0 + 27i

Then simplify

The form x * 3 = 27i

Divide both sides by 3

x * 3       27i
____ =  ____
  3           3

And now simplify to get your final answer

x = 9i
