Soil is made up of several main horizons, namely; A, B, and C. Some soil may have O horizons which may be a thin or a thick layer and lack in some other soils. other layers are D, R and E horizons,
When all the layers are put together they form a soil profile.
D- horizon is a layer of soil that may occur below the B-horizon or C-horizon when it is present. Materials such as bedrock are found on this layer.
