The Florida Everglades have declined in size and suffered from pollution due to overpopulation. When runoff occurs, a dense growth of algae forms along the water surface. What will be the impact of these algae growths?

A. Low quantities of carbon cause organisms to die from lack of organic material.
B. Low quantities of oxygen caused by algal blooms cause organisms to die.
C. High quantities of carbon cause organisms to die from lack of organic material.
D. High quantities of oxygen caused by algal blooms cause organisms to die.

Respuesta :

I personally believe that the right answer is C. Other overpopulation results in more living organisms, and since the pollution has intoxicated the living, they die releasing the carbon into the soil. So there is high amounts of carbon and less of the organic compounds because the overdose on carbon.

Your answer should be C: High quantities of carbon cause organisms to die from lack of organic material. Algae is known for being able to "suffocate" marine life and the plants.
