To convert among units in the metric system, identify the unit that you have, the unit that you want to convert to, and then count the number of units between them. If you are going from a larger unit to a smaller unit, you multiply by 10 successively.
Hope this helps!

Hello! To convert units within a measurement system, all you have to do is multiply or divide, depending on the units you are converting. If you are converting from a smaller to bigger unit, you divide the number of small units by the amount of the small units it takes to make the bigger unit. For example. there are 100 centimeters in 1 meter, and if I wanted to know how many meters is in 450 centimeters, I would divide that number by 100, which would bring us to 4.5 meters, because you are converting from centimeters to meters.
Another thing is that if you are going from a bigger to smaller unit, you would multiply the number it takes of the small unit to be equivalent by the amount of the big unit. For example, if I wanted to know how many centimeters were in 2.3 meters, I would multiply 2.3 by 100 to get 230 centimeters, because 100 centimeters make 1 meter and we are converting from meters to centimeters.
