Mr Martin has 36 calculators in a box . The ratio of ordinary calculators to scientific is 5 : 1 How many of each calculator does he have ?

Please help me :)

Respuesta :

First you add the ratio together like so: 5+1=6. Then, you divide 36 by that number: 36÷6=6
Now, use use this multiplier and times it by both ratios, so:
ordinary= 6×5=30
scientific= 6×1=6
There are 6 scientific calculators in the box

Answer:

sum up the corresponding ratios , 5 and 1 = 6

5/6 * 36= 30

then 1/6* 36 = 6

so there are 30 ordinary calculators to 6 scientific calculators
