4. to serve twice as many, u just double the ingredients...multiply by 2
    (1.5 * 2) = 3 cups unsalted butter
    (1.25 * 2) = 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    (1.25 * 2) = 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
    (2 * 2) = 4 teaspoons vanilla
    (2 * 2) = 4 eggs
    (3.5 * 2) = 7 cups all purpose flour
    (2 * 2) = 4 teaspoons baking soda
    (4 * 2) = 8 cups chocolate chips
    and this will make double the recipe...so this is for 6 dozen cookies

    3 dozen cookies requires 1 1/2 cups butter.....8 oz = 1 cup and 1/2 oz =      4 cups....so 1 1/2 cups = (8 + 4) = 12 oz <==

   (B) 16 oz for 2.99.....2.99/16 = 0.186 rounds to 0.19 per oz
         24 oz for 4.18.....4.18/24 = 0.174 rounds to 0.17 per oz.
        therefore, the better buy (cheapest) is the 24 oz package <==
