The elastic clause was included in the constitution by the founding fathers to meet the needs of a GROWING society.
When the Constitution was drafted, Powers of the Government were specified together with its duties and responsibilities. However, the founding fathers also know that there may come a time where the duties and responsibilities of the government will grow which are not stated in the Constitution resulting to the addition of the elastic clause.
Elastic clause wherein the constitution states that the congress can make laws which are necessary and proper to facilitate the execution the of the governments powers, as stated in the constitution.
