How did the climate affect the development of Minoan culture

Based on my understanding and research I learned that the affect that the development of Minoan culture was because oh Route trades.

The Minoan Crete land was fertile. Along with its climate: short mild winters and dry warm summers, the Minoans produced sufficient food supplies to support an affluent local population. It also produced a decentralized culture based on the abundance of resources and major commercial activities.
