When using a translator in a medical environment, the practitioner should akways use a certified translator, have boundaries, and use a easy language to translate, that makes the message reach the patient faster and easier and avoid misunderstandings, since the medical language is originally very difficult for patients.
The translator/interpreter must fulfill the following conditions:
a) The interpreter must accomplish all the set of standards of practice
b) Must introduce all the conflicts of interest to the patient and the terms and conditions of withdrawing.
c) Must be able to maintain the confidentiality
d) Also the translator should not only understand and speak the native language of the patient but the dialect of the language must be same for ease of understanding.
