In this excerpt from “Paradise Lost”, written by John Milton, is clearly stated that Satan perceived women are not equal to men because God gave the true authority to men and compares that to their sex also seemed not equal (they both look like God, but are different). He also adds that men have direct contact with God, but women have indirect contact – thorough men.
Not equal, as their sex not equal seemd;
