Given is an isosceles trapezoid WXYZ such that WX and YZ are legs of trapezoid with base XY. Also given are the measurements of trapezoid as follows :-

Legs WX = 6x + 5 and YZ = 8x - 3

Base XY = 10x + 4

we know the fact :- "For an isosceles trapezoid, its legs are congruent".

If it is asking for value of the variable 'x', then we can set the expressions of its legs equal and solve for x.

Leg WX = Leg YZ

6x + 5 = 8x - 3

8x - 6x = 5 + 3

2x = 8

x = 4

so, x = 4 would be the answer.

If it is asking for value of base XY, then we could plug the value of x in the expression of XY and compute.

Base XY = 10x + 4

XY = 10(4) + 4

XY = 40 + 4

XY = 44

so, base XY = 44 would be the answer.
