The word “Camelot” is used to refer to the Kennedy family, and they are often referred to as “America’s Royal Family.” What does this mean and why do you think they have this reputation?

Respuesta :

The Kennedy's were the great American immigrant story. The family of Irish immigrants settled in New York working up through the political boss system. The family represented the American Dream and the immigrant story. For John F. Kennedy and Jackie Onassis, they were a beautiful, young couple who revitalized the White House. Their children played on the lawn and brought a hopeful future for America. They represented the ideal family and the forward progress the US would make in the next generation. The whole family being in the spotlight and advocating for the average American made them the heroes many Americans were looking for during the Cold War.
