-4x-2(8x=1)=-(2x-10)
-First, use the distributive property.
So distribute -2 to 8x=1 then distribute the negative - to (2x-10)
So it'd be: -4x-16x=-2=-2x+10
Then combine like terms:
-20x=-2=-2x+10
-18x=-2=10
-18x=8
Divide -18x by 8
x=-2.25
