Someone please help me on this question! It would mean a lot! Thank you

Let us say the unknown number is x.
[tex] \frac{28}{100} = \frac{x}{10} + \frac{8}{100} [/tex]
In case of addition of fractions , we have to find least common denominator.
Least common denominator of 10 and 100 is 100.
Taking lcd,
[tex] \frac{28}{100} = \frac{10x+8}{100} [/tex]
Cancelling 100 on both sides,
[tex] 28=10x+8 [/tex]
subtracting 8 from both sides,
[tex] 28-8=10x+8-8 [/tex]
10x=20
x=2
Answer : x=2
