The principal effects of the Vietman war were that:
- hundreds of thousands of soldiers suffered physical and emotional scars from the war. This is also know as vietman syndrome. It is a form of PTSD that soldiers developed following the traumatic events of the war
- Americans were divided over whether the war was worth fighting. Not all Americans believed that the war in Vietman would cause a benefit, many were against it and this cause a fraction in the unity of the population.
