By a very slim margin (like the thickness of a piece of paper), you could take out C. Technically, it is the value under the root sign which means you find b^2 and subtract 4ac from it. Your teacher may not agree. It is a very thin definition.

So what are we left with? Unfortunately A and D are both correct.
