In this exercise is given a system of equations and it is asked to solve them using any technique. In this case substitution is going to be the technique used.

First of all you should substitute one equation into the other one, and of this form you can the ordered pair which is solution of the system of equations.

Finding the value of x:
-3x-2=7x+3                   Add 3x in both sides
     -2=10x+3                 Subtract 3 in both sides
     -5=10x                     Divide by 10 in both sides to isolate x
   -1/2=x

Now that the value of x is known, you can find the value of y that satisfies both equations.

Finding the value of y:
y=7x+3                   Substitute x by -1/2
y=7(-1/2)+3            Multiply
y=-7/2+3                 Subtract
y=-1/2

The value of x which satisfies is -1/2 or -0.5 and the value of y is -1/2 or-0.5. Meaning that the ordered pair solution of the system of equations is (-1/2,-1/2) or (-0.5,-0.5).
