Hi there!

[tex]5( - 3x - 2) - (x - 3) = - 4(4x + 5) + 13[/tex]

First we want to get rid of the parentheses.
[tex] - 15x - 10 - x + 3 = - 16x - 20 + 13[/tex]

Now we collect terms on both sides of the equation
[tex] - 16x - 7 = - 16x - 7[/tex]

Since both sides of the equation are the same, every number is a correct solution to this equation. (Whatever number you choose to fill in will be correct).
