The diagram which represents the sets, P = {x | x is an integer divisible by 2}; Q = {x | x is an odd integer}; R = {x | x is an integer divisible by 3} is first one.
What is a set?
Set is the well defined group of items known as elements of the set. In mathematics, there are so many different types of sets based on the number of element they have.
The sets given in the problem as,
- P = {x | x is an integer divisible by 2};
The integer which is divisible by two are, 2,4,6,8....
- Q = {x | x is an odd integer};
Odd integers are, 1,3,5,7,9....
- R = {x | x is an integer divisible by 3}
The integer which is divisible by three are 3,6,9,12,15....
Here, in the above sets, the P and Q has no relation. There are some values like 6,12,18.. are common in set P and R.
Similarly there are some values like 3,9,15... are common in set Q and R. In the first diagram this relation is shown.
Thus, the diagram which represents the sets, P = {x | x is an integer divisible by 2}; Q = {x | x is an odd integer}; R = {x | x is an integer divisible by 3} is first one.
