The main geographical factors of Mesopotamia is land between two rivers which are of course : Euphrates (to the West) and Tigris (to the East). They flow from hills and mountains, down to marshlands in the South then into the Persian Gulf.
Apart from Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, the climate was also beneficial as it was warm, dry and with few rainfalls. Besides, the land was fertile because of the flooding of the rivers which made this area ideal for farming.
Hope it helps. ☺
