It is an emergency procedure that can save a life. It includes compression of the chest and artificial breathing.
Artificial breathing provides oxygen to the lungs while compression of the chest help to regain a normal heartbeat.
It includes several steps:
- Put right palm on the patient’s chest.
- Put the left palm over the right palm and interlock them.
- Put some pressure on the chest above the heart.
- Give artificial breath.
- Repeat the process.
Therefore, If a child collapsed, the child should be given 2 minutes of CPR.
