Answer:
Yes to a certain degree
Explanation:
I agree with Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory to a certain extent because to a higher degree we are influenced by our instincts(unconscious mind) and the environment that shapes us. In his theory he talks about the id, ego and superego and describes the controversies between these three in the psychosexual stages of development. The aim of psychoanalysis was make unconscious thoughts conscious therefore control them. His theory has been used in real situations to help personality disorders. Therefore it is very practicable as a person who experiences problems with handling his unconscious thoughts could be treated using this theory. However, I believe this theory is also very much less objective and was not scientifically proven, example how do we know that the three egos actually exist and are the way Freud described them. Also it offers explanation but doesn't really predict behavior example I know a person has the three egos but how do I know what to expect given these
Sigmund Freud's theories are regard as both controversial and influential. I do agree with some of the theories of Freud.
- The most controversial theory of Freud's was when he stated the important wishes of patient's and desires is their experience of love, hate, shame, etc., and how they hold on to these listed emotions.
Based on Freud psychoanalytic theory, he stated that all psychic energy is generated by the libido. I agree with his psychoanalytic theory where some degree of our actions are influenced by our unconscious mind and also that environment that defines a man.
