Figuring out ratios is pretty simple. Example: If the ratio of soccer balls to baseballs is 3:1 that means there are 3 soccer balls for every 1 baseball. Notice how it says “soccer balls to baseballs” and “3:1” the first type of ball/object is the subject for the 3 and the second ball/object is the number for the 1. So when it asks the ratio of chocolate cookies to the whole box, you need to put the number of chocolate cookies first (25) and the cookies in the whole box (40). So now the ratio is 25:40. Simplify and make it into fraction form and the answer is 5/8.
