Hey there! :) I only see two questions so I assume you need help with those two if I am not mistaken. So lets start out with number 9!

So, for number 9 we have 5/4- 5/8. Always when you don't have the same denominators( the bottom number) we must find common denominators. So since 4*2= 8 our common denominator is 8! So this is a piece of cake since 5/8 is already in eighths. So we multiply 5*2= 10 and 4*2 = 8 so 5/4 is 10/8. Then we do 10/8- 5/8= 5/8. We only subtract the numerator and the denominator stays the same.

On to number 10! We have 2/3- 2/7. So lets find a set of common denominator. We can do 21, since 3*7= 21 and 7*3= 21! So 2*7= 14 and 3* 7 =21. So for 2/3 we have 14/21. For the 2/7, we do the same thing as before 2*3= 6 and 7*3= 21. So, 2/7= 6/21. Then the last step! Subtract 14/21- 6/21= 8/21. Then we simplify if needed! We don't need to simplify because it can't go any lower.

I hope I helped and explained it well! :D
(5/4)-(5/8)
In order to subtract or add fractions, the denominator must be the same.
the common denominator is 8, so
5/4=10/8 multiply 2 bottom and top.
now subtract
(10/8)-(5/8)=5/8
Answer: 5/8

(2/3)-(2/7)
the same goes for this problem. find the GCF which is 21
(2/3) multiply 7 to get a denominator of 21. remember whatever you do on the bottom you do on top
so it becomes (14/21)
(2/7) multiply 3 on the denominator and on the numerator. you should get (6/21)
(14/21)-(6/21)=8/21
Answer: 8/21
