Norepinephrine and epinephrine is released Pre-ganglionic neuron.

There are vast arrays of neurons located in the spinal cord and brain stem that project their axons outside the central nervous system (CNS) and are a part of the efferent (motor) pathways leading from brain centres to periphery within the autonomic nervous system, which is the set of central and peripheral nerve structures that control the activity of viscera (such as the bladder, heart, intestines, trachea, and glands) and of blood vessels. They are referred to as preganglionic neurons because their axons condense into tiny nerves that attach to ganglion neurons in the sympathetic and parasympathetic ganglia of the autonomic nervous system.
