Football a is kicked at a speed v at an angle of q with respect to the horizontal direction. if football b is kicked at the same angle, but with a speed 3v, what is the ratio of the range of b to the range of a?

the range of the parabolic motion R=(v^2 * sin 2Theta)/ g;

if the range increases in exponential with increase in initial velocity.
so if initial velocity is thrice then range will be 9 times.

Hence the ratio is  V:3V: :R:9R ()
