If Xena's position at time zero is 0 and Gabriele's position is 60 m, what time interval is needed for Xena to catch Gabriele?

From the attached graph, we can see that:
Xena's velocity is equal to 8 m/sec

velocity = distance / time
Therefore,
time = distance / velocity

We want the distance to be 60 m and we have the velocity = 8 m/sec
substitute in the equation to get the time as follows:
time = 60/8 = 7.5 seconds

This means that Xena would need 7.5 seconds to catch Gabriele

x1 =8t

x2=6t+60

x1=x2

8t=6t+60

2t=60

t=30 s
