As regards the poem, America is described as a merging of a variety of voices, American voices. He describes it as what people sing while working. People is portrayed as very different from each other but with the same vision of the country. America is seen as plural, many occupations and skills but it has equal opportunities for them 

The central theme of the poem includes freedom and dignity.

  • The theme in the power includes dignity, freedom and, growth. The poem explained the freedom that the Americans had and how they enjoyed their work and had fun. In the poem, everyone has a particular song.

  • The poem described America as a country where various voices are merged together. Even though there were different people, they had the same vision for the country which was to make the country great.

  • In America, there are different people with different occupations but everyone is equal and has the same motive for the country.
