A. The Senate
According to article 1 of u.s constitution, the Senate has the sole power to try all Impeachments. Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body, like a president in this case, formally levels charges against a high official of government. This procedure does not necessarily end with the removal from office; it is only a formal statement of charges.
