I believe that our school should create a skate park so that kids will have a safe place for skateboarding. Most skateboarding injuries happen outside of parks, and the most common accidents include falls on rough surfaces that aren't meant for skateboards and crashes with pedestrians or cars when skateboarders are forced to share public spaces with others, which puts everybody's personal safety at risk. Kids are going to do the activities they enjoy, whether there is a special area set aside or not, so the best way to keep kids safe is to provide them with a park that is dedicated only to skateboarding, not just a regular park where kids have to constantly compete for space. Skateboarders have rights, too.
